Effervescent Orange Slices is a site specific installation made for an attic. At the culmination of the project I held an opening in the space.
As the viewer enters the space, they are immediately confronted with a large orange oval, which acts as a portal that must be stepped through in order to encounter the bizarre alternate reality within. In this space a patchwork form dangles on cartoonish silver chains, a workbench displays a plethora of ambiguous objects, an abstracted flag pins down a map of an unrecognisable world, and a blue tunnel leads into the bowels of the space where out of the window a concrete ship-like sculpture can be seen sailing into the distance.
